Grapevine Craft Brewery is excited to officially announce that on Tuesday August 19, the Grapevine city council unanimously approved our brewery project to be built one block off of Main Street, downtown Grapevine, complete with outdoor seating. Our new brewery space will consist of over 10,200 sqft including 1,500 sqft of retail space for a taproom with a second level and an additional 2,800 sqft of outdoor space for a beer garden. All production activities currently in Farmers Branch will cease and Grapevine Craft Brewery will host all of its operations in Grapevine, Texas.
Construction on the new space is slated to begin in September 2014 with a planned opening in February 2015. The are no more barriers for this project and we are now full steam ahead, after almost 2 years of planning. Though we faced many trials and much time has passed, great things have come out of this period of waiting. The property to the north, adjacent to the land we already owned came up for sale with an existing 6,000 sqft building and frontage on Dallas Road. We were able to acquire that property and expand our project from under 7,000 sqft to over 10,000 sqft. Also, we were able to more than double our available parking which is critical to the accessibility of our taproom and beer garden space.
We can’t thank our neighbors and the surrounding community enough for their generosity and support of our brewery, yes “our” community’s brewery. We are proud to call Grapevine home and can’t wait to share our beers and all of the great things we have planned for the future with our fans and our friends in our new home. You are all invited to the party!
So, what happens to the brewery in Farmers Branch? Well, we’re also excited to officially announce that our Farmers Branch location is under contract for sale to 3 Nations Brewing headed up by brewmaster, Gavin Secchi formerly of Karbach and Goose Island. 3 Nations has become a great friend of ours and we are excited to partner with them and see their new brewery come out on the North Texas craft beer seen. 3 Nations will begin production later on this year as an alternating brewery in Farmers Branch until we officially move to Grapevine. Also, be on the lookout for new beers from 3 Nations at some of our upcoming brewery tours. Go check ‘em out on Facebook
